Work Experience
IT-Software Engineer
Finstar
I started my role at Finstar as a Junior and quickly grew into a Professional Software Developer, supported by a kind and collaborative team where I learned a great deal. At Finstar, I work on a wide range of topics, including recurring background jobs, framework-related improvements, and structural changes such as splitting a monolithic solution into a more modular architecture, along with various business-driven enhancements. Recently, I began designing the architectural foundation for a new micro frontend UI to help transition legacy code into a more modern, modularized frontend structure. If you're curious about the micro frontend concepts behind this approach, feel free to take a look at the project page for more details.
Examiner (Application Developer Apprenticeships)
ICT Berufsbildung Aargau
As a volunteer IPA expert examiner in the Canton of Aargau, I evaluate and assess the final practical projects of IT application development apprentices, contributing to the quality and standards of vocational IT education.
IT-Software Engineer
Merbag
After some time working at Merbag, I was given the opportunity to switch roles. In a small application team, we developed practical internal tools to support various business processes.
One example was an Employee Arrival Tool that streamlined and largely automated the onboarding process, including a dedicated admin view. Another project was a “Lagerpooling” website, where we listed internal storage vehicles that were available for sale. We implemented a custom filter that dynamically updated based on the results list, as well as a 360° image view of each individually configured car.
I am especially grateful to Merbag for giving me the opportunity to take my first real steps into software engineering and for trusting me with this transition. This chance allowed me to build a strong foundation in development and marked an important milestone in my professional journey.
IT-System Engineer
Merbag
My first steps into the IT environment began during my second apprenticeship, when I had the opportunity to work as an intern IT System Engineer at Merbag. After completing my education, I continued working there full-time.
During this time, I gained extensive experience in networking, virtual machines, and monitoring productive services. In my daily work, I set up and managed virtual machines and administered network devices, primarily Cisco systems.
I am deeply grateful to the entire team for their trust, support, and guidance during this important phase of my career. Their mentorship and collaboration laid the foundation for my professional growth, and I truly appreciate everything I was able to learn from them.
